Fundi

Inspired by Ella Baker’s Legacy

Ella Baker, a monumental figure in the civil rights movement, was affectionately known as "Fundi," a term that signifies a master craftsperson who not only excels in their trade but also actively engages in teaching and uplifting others within their community. At the heart of our initiative, the Fundi Proram embodies this spirit by harnessing the power of communal knowledge and leadership development.

Purpose and Goals

Our Fundis will cultivate a network of skilled and knowledgeable leaders who can effectively guide and mentor others. The primary aim of this program is to train Bloc Captains and provide ongoing political education for both Bloc Captains and Squad Leaders.
