Aaron Smith is currently a private practitioner of support services and Medical Social Worker. Previously a Clinician at Civicorps School and former Wellness Manager and Lead Clinician at Youth UpRising in Oakland.  He is an Oakland native, Pan-Africanist, and Social Worker involved with positively impacting and addressing critical issues in the Bay Area youth culture.

A graduate of Merritt College (A.A.), San Francisco State (B.A. –Sociology), and Cal State East Bay (M.S.W.), Aaron has developed a unique perspective about the challenges youth and young adults face in this community.   Aaron has worked as a Clinician in Comprehensive Child Crisis in San Francisco, S.I.T. (Service Integration Team) in North Richmond, serving youth and families in some of the most challenging, yet, vibrant communities the Bay Area holds. 

Aaron has over 15 years experience serving youth, adults, and families, focused on improving the communities that influence their lives.  From mentoring youth to providing culturally relevant and sensitive services, Mr. Smith has manifested himself as an asset to the Greater Bay Area.
